Barnet's signs shows the Council doesn't know which way it's going

Leader of Barnet Liberal Democrats Cllr Jack Cohen is wondering if Barnet Council's left hand knows what its right hand is doing. An eagle eyed resident spotted this odd street signage in West Finchley. Cllr Cohen complains this is yet another example of waste of council taxpayers' money. Cllr Cohen wonders how "any one can have faith in a Council that quite frankly doesn't know where it is going"

The sign on the left has been there for a few years and the one on the right was attached to the lamppost on Wednesday 2nd September by DW Lighting.

The distance between the signs is approximately seven feet. The signs are at the junction with Argyle Road. The new sign is a total waste of money. The original sign, being closer to the junction, is more visible than the new sign to drivers approaching from Argyle Road.
