London Survey reveals urgent need to address safety concerns of Londoners when traveling at night – Caroline Pidgeon

March 3, 2015 4:51 PM

Caroline Pidgeon AM, Liberal Democrat London Assembly transport spokesperson, commenting on the results of the London Survey which reveals significant differences in Londoners' feelings of safety between day and night-time, when travelling by bus or the London Underground said:

"It is really concerning that not all Londoners feel safe when travelling on buses or the tube, in particular at night.

"London should be a city where everyone feels safe when travelling at all times of the day. This is especially the case if London's night-time economy is to flourish.

"With the Tube set to start running throughout the night at weekends it is vital that additional staff are put in place to help reassure passengers travelling at night."
