Our Priorities for Barnet

April 12, 2018 11:11 AM

1 Continue our record of listening to you, and responding promptly to your concerns;

2 Ensure the Council deals promptly with broken roads and pavements, litter & potholes;

3 Guarantee weekly bin collections;

4 Oppose further cuts to our police, and promote community, outreach and youth projects, which tackle the root causes of crime;

5 Scrutinise all outsourcing contracts and ensure the Council gets a grip on them, so they work in residents' favour and do not create undue risk.

6 Work with residents to protect Barnet from inappropriate overdevelopment and fight developments that harm our environment;

7 Continue our fight against air pollution, noise and nuisance;

8 Set up a dedicated fly-tipping team and bring back neighbourhood skips

9 Push to restore Library opening hours and full access for our young people;

10 Protect the Green Belt and our green open spaces.

Above all we will listen to you.

Let's revamp Residents' Forums so they are worth going to;

Let's change the rules so it's easier for residents to speak at Council meetings;

Let's make Barnet Council work for all local residents.
