Clareine Enderby has been selected as the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Hendon.

Clareine comments, "I am honoured to have been chosen to fight the next election for the Liberal Democrats in Hendon. The Liberal Democrats won the European elections hands down across Barnet. There has been a real shift in public opinion. People are sick of the Brexit chaos caused by Johnson and aggravated by Corbyn's unclear and ineffective opposition. Most people just want to see the back of it so that we can focus on what is really important: health, education and tackling the threat of climate change.

"It is clear that what was promised by the Leave campaign cannot be delivered, and that any Brexit harms our economy, jeopardises the Irish peace process and diminishes the UK's international standing. Britain deserves better than Brexit.

"The Liberal Democrats have been the voice of Remain from day one, and want to end this Brexit chaos by either a People's Vote now, or by revoking Article 50 if we win a General Election."

Clareine Enderby works as a business communications trainer. She is married with two primary school-aged children and lives in the Borough of Barnet.

The Liberal Democrats polled top by over 10,000 votes in the May 2019 European elections in Barnet, with a voter turnout of 42.5%
